How long for album and video?

Hi everyone, I'm part of the post-wedding crowd and was wondering how long it took for you to get your album and video? It took some of my friends up to a year, but hope it doesn't take that long! Are there any tips for me to gently push my photographer and videographer?

Photographers and videographers are incredibly busy, and while it may seem like there isn't THAT much to do, each professional has days and even weeks worth of editing to do. I know it's hard to wait, but being patient gives them more time! I can't tell you how many times I've heard my photographer friends get upset by clients who wouldn't give them time. 

Editing is a LOT of work! That being said, have you looked at your contract? It should say somewhere in there how long they are giving themselves to edit.
