to wait for your cd?

My photog does not give us the CD for 6 months.  This is in their contract and it's not unheard of here but it's a looooong time.

It's killing me.  But they are going to give me a low resolution disk so I can put the pics up on PW!  Yay

I just release it when they receive their album.  Some brides take FOREVER to pick out their album pic choices - not my fault! ;o)

I just delivered an album and disc yesterday - to a 2007 bride.  Yikes.

But others have gotten their disc from me in less than four months because they ordered their album right away!

If you are not getting an album, (the wait) it's probably  because the poor photog is trying to make some money off of reprints.  Some price themselves so that they need income from the reprints. The lower the upfront fee, the more they need to make off you after the wedding.  If you are not planning on buying ANY reprints from your photog, let them know that and ask how much more you would have to pay for an "early release".

I give all my clients their images in two weeks or less after their wedding.  These are full size and web size photos.  Album creation does take longer but my goal is that all my brides have their photos on a DVD as soon as they return from their honeymoon.
