How many desserts do you have at Thanksgiving?

My co-worker and I were discussing this, and I told her I was very disappointed about the lack of desserts at my DH's family Thanksgiving meal last year. There was about 20 people there and I only remember seeing 2 pies-sweet potato and pumpkin, neither of which I like. I was so shocked when many people said "oh, I don't want any dessert, I'm too full from the meal". In my family, dessert is the main star of the feast! lol. We have at least 4 different kinds to choose from, and more than plenty to go around. So imagine my surprise and dismay when I had no dessert last year at his famiy dinner! I was like a sad little kid that went to the candy store only to find out that they were sold out of my favorite chocolate.

So now I'm curious about Thanksgiving dessert traditions-what's it like in your family? = )

I'm bringing what my Mom calls "strawberry goodness" Basically, it's layers of cool whip, strawberries, and yellow cake that has cooled and torn into small pieces. simple, but so yummy

We usually have pumpkin pie, cocnut cream pie and a yummy lemon pie.  We are having about 25 people for Thanksgiving so I feel like I should have another desert.  Maybe something with apple.  I don't know.

dessert's a staple at our house on thanksgiving, too! there's always enough dessert and variety for everyone to have something. we try to change it up with something different each year, along with the classic pumpkin pie.

dessert is a must!! i made a yummy pear and cranberry pie last year and i always love pecan pie. pie definitely seems to be the majority, but my aunt will usually do truffles and homemade turtles which are to die for!!
