I was wondering how many BM are you guys having?? I am beginning to think that I might have too many. I have nine BM and possibly a tenth. When I told my friends that I was getting married alot of them asked if they could be BM and I felt bad sayin no. The problem I'm having is that my fiancé is having trouble finding so many GM. So far he has six. Should I tell some of them sorry and that they can't be one of my BM? I don't want to hurt anyone's feeling...but I also don't want a huge wedding party. What to do??😨

we each have 4 BM and GM. id LOVEE to add 3 more, but he only has 2 other people hed ask, so we decided to cap it at 4 each. not to mention, we have 99 days left and the dresses are already purchased so adding more for me would be a hassle. i was just at a wedding in april that had 1 more GM then BM, and it was actally cute. durring the entrance to the reception, 2 of the GM carried a BM in on their sholders. during the ceremony, the men entered from the side, so the uneven numbers didnt matter. 9 does sound like a lot, but only because thats 9 gifts you hve to buy, 9 different personalities you have to tame, and 9 women you have to get together for fittings! but if they are all good friends, it shouldnt be a problem :) im not good at telling people "nvm" so if youve already committed to them, i dont think it would be appropriate to take it back.

I have 6 Bm and FI has 5 GM-he had 6 but his friend is in the army and will be over seas for our wedding :( I don't think it has to be even if that's what you're worried about. But I agree with @kplusd that too many girls can be a source of drama. I would keep who you have but not add any just IMO!

Thanks for the rely ladies. One thing I was worried about was how it would look when yet walked down the isle eeek. KplusD you had a great suggestion about the GM coming in from the side ; )

We had 3 and 3; DH wanted his guys to walk in with him, whereas my ladies came in one by one and they left separately.  We had some similar issues to you, but to keep costs down, we chose to ask those who wanted to be a part of the wedding to do different tasks--a reading, handing out programs and bubbles, etc.  That worked out quite nicely for us.  Keep in mind if you can afford that many attendants, because you still have the rehearsal dinner and gifts to think about.

We have 6 each. I initially wanted 4 each, he talked me into 5 - but when I picked a 5th, it felt like I was leaving one person out so I talked him into a 6th!

Well, not really. He would have like 9 each if I would let him. :)

One of my sisters friends is having 10 on each side. I guess if your wedding party is outgoing it would make for nice pictures.
