Wow, that's a lot of guests Mrs KC!

We are inviting around 100, and expecting 80-90 to show up.

We are planning for 100.  I have a smaller family and group of friends, his is much bigger.  He is going to have to cut back more then us.  Is anyone worried about cutting people?

Not yet... If anyone is cutting it would be from my side.  We're a ridiculously larger family! :)

Your first cut should be first aquaintances...then coworkers...then friends...then extended family.

we are planning for 100 people. I think we will only have 75, though.

We're actually having two back-to-back receptions... the one on Saturday will be "hosted" by our families, with more cultural aspects to it, including a tea ceremony and chinese banquet.  The guests will be family and their friends, and we expect there will be around 300 people.

The actual ceremony will be on Sunday, followed by the reception that is hosted by us and the guests will be our friends and co-workers.. it'll be a much more intimate party, which we're expecting about 65-70 people (which we wanted all along, but couldn't do if we have such a big number of people so we decided to split it up!!)

I tell people I'm actually getting married on September 12 (well, mainly because that's when we're doing the ceremony and signing the marriage license but also because I don't want to use the date of Saturday's reception - 9-11).

Looking back at the date list, it seems like people are trying to avoid that date as much as possible for weddings.

So after putting it down on paper and speaking with all parents, we are now at 147.  Not too bad cause there will be a lot of children and hte venue we choose will have to have a seperate room for a "daycare".  We have a lot of` out of town friends with kids.  this way the kids can play with weachother and we will hire 2 sitters to watche them.  We are also goign to try and work out a kids menu to help keep costs down.  Lie Mac&Cheese / grilled cheese or chicken nuggets type meals.  Has anyone done this before?  How did it go?

We too, are planning for a larger crowd. My guess is anywhere between 350-400. We both have huge families. I have 80 people in my immediate family and thats just on one side.
