I've ordered my dress, which should be shipped to the salon on December 15th. We have the church/reception hall booked. It's in Korea, and I don't think I'll need to do much planning outside of my dress and own personal look.
And possibly a photographer. I am a photographer myself, and how do I find one I love all the way over there while I'm in Michigan? I don't want just anyone taking pictures. I want amazingness.
I don't know what the food is going to be like, the flowers, or even if we'll have a wedding cake. There will be hundreds and hundreds of guests I know, and we're doing an American/Korean style wedding first (which is common there) and
then a private traditional wedding, for only immediate family members. I will wear a hanbok, a traditional Korean dress, and there will be a lot of bowing and tea drinking. I am going to be fitted for that dress when I get there, about a
month ahead of time. Then after the traditional ceremony is the reception, where the bride usually changes into yet another dress. I want to wear my wedding dress though. I think I insist, since I'm spending all this money on
it.
The biggest part of the planning is the visa/green card hassle, since he is a Korean citizen. (We met while he was studying here in the states.)
It's going to be crazy! But it will be a once in a lifetime experience. :)
