It's ok sometimes it takes awhile to figure out what you want to do. I have friends who are 26 and still aren't sure what they want. I'm 23 and graduated in March of 2009 with my bach. in biology and a minor and physics, thought I wanted to go
to med school and changed my mind. So, now I graduate in August with my master's of nursing (so I'll be an RN), and I still want to go back to be a CRNA.
If you aren't into bodily fluids then nursing prob. isn't for you. I can tell you that I see some strange/gross stuff on the floor plus you would have to get used to all the smells. But you can work three 12's and be done for the week, so you
could potentially have 4 days off.
Oncology units can be tough. I worked in child life on an oncology for at Children's Hosptial and you def. have to be able to try not to get too attached because you do lose some. If you think you want to try it maybe you could volunteer on a
unit, I know most pediatric hospital's need volunteers for child life and you get to play with the kids and create activites. If you're creative you could always go into child life since you like kids. They make activites, play with the kids ect and
the kids love child life!
Basically, if you HATE your job I would look around and see if you find something that appeals to you. I wouldn't want to stay in a job that I hated.
