Storytime...

I needed a Wii. We'd been scouring for months to get them to sell, and FI said I could keep one if we sold two. So he sold two over Christmas and now we could get one for ourselves. But my bride-to-be cousin wanted one as a gift from the wedding party. TWO WIIS? You gotta be kidding. That's going to be tough.

So I've been telling my FI to keep an ear out so we can try to snag one. Then today he IMs me at work and says "They're in! I'm going to one. Go!"

So I grabbed my keys and drove as fast as I (legally!) could. I parked the car and saw two guys about my age. I ran in my little heels and found the yellow shirt guy at the door.

"Wii! Do you have Wiis?" And then he directed me to the aisle where they were.

"There's only one left," he said.

And before I could control myself, I yell "That Wii is mine!" The Best Buy guy kindly hands me the Wii and I had a moment. I jumped and skipped and screamed all the way to the cashier. The employees were laughing, but I was in love.

So the FI was able to get one also, which means, one for my cousin and one for me! YAY!

But I thought the story was a perfect little tale of us. Nerds who love adrenaline rushes, playing Wii and SlickDeals forums.

I love the wii...we got one not this christmas but the one before for Matt's 5 year old however we all play it all the time lol

Yay!!! FI and I got our Wii when it came out. We just got luck since we didn't have to fall in line for it. Anyhow, I can't wait for Wii fitness to come out. I'm still working on Mario Galaxy and I'm really lagging..hahaha

What games are you going to get? have fun with your Wii!!!

Right now we just have sports and play. FI wants Mario and I just want a pink controller cover! :) And there was this monkey game that was fun to play in groups.

I love sports. It's really nice that they have it included with the systems. My parents even play with us. You guys should check out Strikers (Super Mario Soccer).

Good luck on your search for a pink cover. I have princess peach cover.

Glad to know FI and I are not the only couple crazy about Wii.

i heart wii!..the sports is the my favorite. The boxing game is the sports package is a real workout. Still waiting for the wii fitness to be released. Have fun!

I love my Wii. I had to wait in line for it too.
When I was in Japan last week, I saw the Wii Fit but was afraid that it wouldn't work here.

I love my wii and love Mario Party. We have people over all the time to bowl. And I know what you mean about your shoulder hurting. I have to take breaks every now and then. :)
