I have to get a new vision in my head ...how???

So we decided to rent tuxes locally .... I REALLY REALLY REALLY wanted grey tuxes , because my colors are lilac and silver and are very light , and it's a morning wedding etc .... point being I thought black tuxes were too dark to blend with everything else ... and I thought grey tuxes would look great.

So we went this weekend to pick out the tuxes ....UGH .... the grey tux I saw on the website and loved ...I HATED when I saw it in person .... there was waaaaay too much satin on it .... it looked like something a boy would wear to a prom IMO .....so now my vision is blown ...

I refuse to "buy" tuxes or suits ...they will never be used again .... plus we were going to get the Groom and Ring Bearer's free if we rent from this place ...so I have to accept black tuxes :(  ..... and work the silver in on the vests etc ....I refuse to put any of the men in Lilac ...so black with silver it is :( 

I just needed to vent ...thanks for listening ...Im disappointed and having trouble "lovin" the black tux .

The black tux would be too dark if it was like a dark vest and tie too, but with the silver vest and tie I think it'll look great!

Our guys are in all black, Best man in all black w/ red tie and FI is all black with white tie...maybe your guys can be in black with silver and Fi in black with white/ivory to match ur dress

Aww im sorry..it will still look good though...sometimes buying suits is cheaper then renting.  That is what my FI is doing...there is a special buy one get one free at mens warehouse right now so when you take the 6 guys and divide the cost of the 3 suits(3 are free) its like 160 a person...he just wanted to do it that way because his friends have been in so many weddings and he didnt want to make them spend money on something they could never use again so with them buying the suits they will now have them to use for many years.

You could do lilac in their bouts... that would look really nice with the silver vest and black tuxes :)

I'm sorry your image is not what you expected... If it helps, I think black tuxes are beautiful and classic - perfect for any time of day!

We did think about that DJ ...but when we saw this deal with the rental ...the total came out to $110 each guy and I was getting FI's and my stepson (who we would  have to pay for) for free .... my dad and uncle are actually going in on a b1g1 ....it is a very good idea ...

My concern was my stepson will outgrow his probobly before he ever wears it again ...KWIM?

Do they have any other kinds? Maybe try another rental place. We are getting gray but they have at least 10 different kinds to choose from.
