I need help with my colors!

Hi,
I have a cake tasting tomorrow and I'm freaking out a little because I'm not sure about my color scheme! My wedding is September 20, 2008 in NYC. I love angels so I wanted to incorporate them into the reception decor. I was thinking about using white table linens with gold overlays and white chair covers with gold sashes. I'm also going to have a lot of candles everywhere. The bridesmaid dresses will be champagne colored. My centerpieces consist of hurricane candle holders with a wreath of flowers around the bottom and "angel" feathers scattered on the tables. How does all this sound? Does anybody have any ideas or suggestions? Please help me!! Thanks

what about blush flowers and cake decorating? Something to consider, very angelic! Where are you getting married in the city? Maybe you can find a good color in the surroundings?

The ceremony is going to be in an old church in City Island and the reception will be in The Julia Burgos Cultural Center in Manhattan. Looks like a loft with these great white pillars. Very roman.

The other color that comes to mind is a sky blue - it just seems to go with angels. Maybe your cake can sit on the top of a cloud of tulle. Nothing that takes it too far, but just subtle.
