I found something I need to create for my centerpieces.... but I need massive help... like where to start exactly.  I figured I could get some candlesticks, put a jar on top (kind of like the redneck wine glasses), either etch the jar or I honestly have no idea where to go from there... so my question is, how would you "knock off" this lamp? I do want to use candles or something like that.

Oooo! I've got an idea! I was looking at your picture and I knew that shape was familiar. I'm going to link a couple of directions I had for a similar project.

You can buy the baskets at Dollar Tree stores, though, they might be seasonal. I noted that you're not getting married til 2014, so you should be able to pick them up in 2013 when spring rolls around.

Buy crystal garland rolls (http://www.shopwildthings.com/roofbe33ya9d2.html) and use them instead of beads, unless you like the beaded look instead of crystals. =)

As to making the whole thing stand up, you'll have to build some sort of interior housing. As long as you have a stable base and a narrow post to connect the top to, you should be fine!

PM if you have an questions or any other ideas you'd like help with. =)
