Hi,

I'm trying to find unique ways on how to present our childhood pictures in our reception site? We have an outdoor location that can be windy and our wedding date is in the rainy season. I thought about hanging it with clothespin but the windy part can be a problem.

Any ideas out there?

You could buy some cheap frames and put them on a table. . . It doesn't fit the bill of being unique, but it will work. You could have a battery powered laptop loop the pictures in a slide show. . . You could hang a piece of fabric that can be staked to the ground as well. Then you could pin the pictures to the fabric. Or you could put each on cardstock, hole punch the cardstock, and tie ribbon through it. That's all I've got.

you gave a lot!

I've got one: blow the pictures up and make them your guest sign-in. You blow them up to whatever size you want, have it mounted on foam core and then put it on an easel.

There are some glass coasters at Bed, Bath and Beyond that you can put pictures in. They come in 4 packs for like 10 dollars. You could put the pictures in them and have those on the table so people could use as coasters, OR just as table decore. They're heavy enough that the wind won't take them away and they'll keep your pictures safe. Also, I'm not sure if this is practical, but if you were able to have glass over your tables, you could put the pictures under the glass and they'll be at the reception for people to see, without them getting damaged, wet or blown away.

I love the closeline idea...if you do want to do it, but weatherproofed, you could color copy for photos and have them laminated, which will give them weight in the wind and also keep them waterproof...

what about one of those "french memo" boards? You can buy or diy them in many colors.

We had the photobook guestbook for everyone to sign and about half of the pages contained pictures of DH and myself when we were kids. We left a lot of blank space for guests to sign, kind of like a yearbook.

Another option would be a large picture frame that has a mat with lots of openings. They sell them at Aaron Brothers for as many as 20 photos. You could display it on an easel. Being outdoors, make sure the frame isn't in direct sunlight, otherwise you'll get condensation under the glass. Un-good.

Good luck!

Love the accordion album aching! We're doing a smaller paper version for our memory table using Martha Stewart Crafts supplies, something to look into perhaps?

I have seen those plastic frame filmstrips used before. You can hang them anywhere, also they are protected/ and can take wind/ rain better then a cloth??
