In honnor of Prevention of Animal Cruelty Month

I'm so excited to tell you about a new program for couples to help save doggies and cats!  If you're an animal loving engagee then this post is for you.  Last year we were approached by The Rescue Train, a non-profit organization that is dedicated to eliminating animal suffering and euthanasia through hands-on rescue work, education, and awareness.  We were instant fans!  (Big dog lovers here at The Bridal Bar!)  The ladies of The Rescue Train told us of their mission and their vision for engaged couples to help.  And after much laboring by the talented Heidi Bartlette of Idieh Design, , The Rescue Train's Gift of love program has arrived!

What is it you ask?  Well, a refistry for one - and a wedding and event favor program too!  That's right!!  If you're hosting an event and want to donate to save a pet's life in lieu of a favor trinket, they've created a program  to do just that (complete with cute favor cards as part of your order that can even coordinate with your event - and Heidi works on custom designs too when nothing less will do!).  But it gets better...if you already have a blender, a set of china, and you really can't fit much more in your cabinets, then why register?  Skip the traditional registry and register to save animal's lives instead!  You can direct wedding guests to your animal registry and they will be giving the gift of life as a wedding present to you.  We love that!!  (I know what my new go-to wedding gift will be, registry or not!)
