The raised garden is doing better than I ever imagined it would! I've eaten 2 zucchini this week, and a handful of strawberries :)

Pics!

The raised garden is photo 1814266-1 Everything's gotten a LOT bigger!

The raised garden is photo 1814266-2The squash was off to a slower start than the zucchini behind it, but it's catching up! Here's what's happening under those huge leaves:

Look at the leaves in comparison to Izzy!

Here's the one I picked yesterday - HUGE!

I have no idea when these onions will be ready... Apparently they need a reeeeeally long growing season:

But, I did harvest all this garlic:

My strawberries have a friend:

My strawberries have a photo 1814288-1 He's always there, but he doesn't seem to eat the fruit (which is perfectly intact). I guess he may nibble on the leaves, but I don't think he's a problem. Anybody know what kind of bug he is?

I have to say, the strawberries from this plant are some of the tastiest, juiciest berries I've ever tried. I got the seedling from a local organic market, and it was unmarked. I don't even know what the variety is.

And a bunch more aren't far behind!

This watermelon vine is getting kinda crowded and shaded by the squash, but it's thriving and flowering now, so I'm hopeful :)

So I know these tomatoes look like a mess, but they're properly spaced and thriving. Hopefully I'll still be able to reach the ripe ones in the middle of that mess when it's time!

Here's what they're doing right now:

My strawberries have a photo 1814288-6 They're "Red Beefsteak" tomatoes, so they should get quite large (12-16 oz.)

And then I have my green bell pepper plant, which is doing pretty well considering it's right next to (and sorta under) the giant zucchini... It even has a few blooms and tiny fruits!

Last, I'm going to share with all of you a cautionary tale... This is what happens when you play in the dirt:

I'm so jealous!!!!  We're just past our frost date up here in MI, and getting ready to plant next week.  I wish that I had home grown fruits and veggies already!

We got a late start too this year, Tiger. The winter here was very unusual, and very long... And then it was HOT again!

Pleeeeeeease post pics and details of your garden when you start!!
