Invitation TIMING....

Looking for some help on timing of invites and what not...

Wedding date - September 27th, 2008

RSVP Date - September 1st, 2008

WHEN TO SEND OUT INVITES???

6-8 weeks before depending on how many OOT guests you have.

Overseas guests: 8 to 10 weeks before wedding

USA guests: 6 to 8 weeks before wedding

I don't remember where I was told that info, but it's what I followed with no issues.

i'm sending mine out 2 mos before the RSVP date, since we're not mailing out STD's...just putting info on our website....

my wedding date is 10/11/08.  My RSVP by date is 9/13/08.  I'm sending them out at the very end of  July...so six weeks before my RSVP date.  I need to tell my venue the final guest count two weeks before the wedding so i'm giving myself two weeks leeway to hunt down those pesky missing RSVP's...

6-8 weeks prior to wedding

Wedding date: May 18

RSVP date: April 20

Mail date: mid-March... I did them in batches between March 10-13

I'm  hopefully mailing them out this weekend which will give us 7 weeks. We sent out STDs so even if it goes out at the six week mark I think we'll be ok :)
