I just bought papers and envelope for my invitations/programs.  I’m not sure if I spent too much or I snagged a great deal.  I have 175 guests and planning on sending out about 125 invites.  We ended up paying approximately $140 and then with stamps it might be a little over $200.

Here is what we ended up buying:  Two sets of different envelops (outer 250 in a box/inner 175), 150 thick paper (for a two fold invite) and a package of 250 special paper (some weight) for the inserts.

Is that too much?

Also, if you don’t mind sharing.  How much did you end up spending for how many?  I’d like to know the average.  Thanks.

did you get envelopes for the RSVP's too?

we spent much more than that....but ours aren't DIY....seems like you got a good deal!

I agree...it sounds like you didn't spend much at all.  We had ours done, only had to asssemble and print the outer envelopes and spent way too much...but I love them.

Thats not too bad. We paid 190 for 100 invitations without stamps (170 guests invited but many in the same household). It was more than we wanted to spend but they were perfect. We got envelopes, with return address printed, the invitation (3 different colors of cardstock layers) the RSVP +envelope with printed address & directions card (FI and I had a hard time agreeing so when we found one we both loved we took it!)

jackieg - My rsvp are actually going to be postcards.  The two envelopes is for the outer and inner.  The outer for the guest address and the inner will be the clean look (actuall invitations).  Hope I make sense.  = (

My invites are going to be DIY ... so hopefully it'll turn out nice.  Ok so far so good ... let's see what others have to say too.

Thanks Ladies I appreciate all you honest inputs.

No it sounds like you didnt spend much at all. I am expecting ours to cost 400 without stamps and they are DIY.

That's a great deal. I spent $150 DIYing but then they got ruined in a cross country move so I ordered a new set of 75 for $175 from Invitations by Dawn and thought that was a steal!

Yah, your fine!  Especially for that many!  If you got them professionally done- you would have spent a lot more! (depending on what kind your doing of course)...

- HMM :)
