Yellowsteph...Omg, 200 :)

We don´t like big parties and i would like to chat with everybody during my wedding. So we are going to invite only our parents, sisters, grandparents, best friends - they really care! And after all - we are cold Scandinavians anyway :) :)

I think I´m going to make our invitations by myself, I have some art skills :)

I really want to get our invitations printed and assembled (I'm DIYing them) soon because I hate having it hanging over my head but we won't know until April where we are getting married!  My FI is in the process of getting his marriage annuled through the Catholic Church so if that happens in time we'll get married there and if not we'll get married at the Lutheran church.  I wanted to get them done and sent out soon so I could figure out the seating chart... but it's good to know that a lot of you are waiting a little longer... maybe I was jumping the gun!

I am jealous of you too, tigrib. Ooh... I'd love to have a small wedding. Instead, our guest list is 290 as of now.

Anyway, I have ordered my invites and they'll arrive early next week. I'll send them out the first 2 weeks of March as we did not send STD's. The RSVP date would be May 5th, to give us enough time to call the slackers who didn't RSVP by then. ;)

sending them out today!

Wow... I'm June 5th too! We were thinking about sending them out the first week of March and having an RSVP deadline of May 5th.  The reason we're doing it so early is because we know some of our guests are going to wait until after that deadline to RSVP anyway so at least if we give them some sort of deadline, we can guage how many people are coming!

I made ours (still need to post photos on here for you!) and sent them out a few weeks ago with the RSVP for April 2. Having a destination wedding with no children so needed to give people plenty of time to organise time off work, accommodation and baby sitters. We also need to give the venue 50% of the balance 60 days before the wedding with the balance 30days out which is non-refundable if people pull out so need to get the numbers sorted before then. Glad I was organised though and did it all when I did as I ended up in hospital for almost 2 weeks and am now on bed rest pretty much until the wedding so being organised pays off!
