I know we have 7 months to go but I am feeling REALLY unorganized these days. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that I'm working 2 jobs, have a seven year old to raise (my fiance's daughter who has lived with us since she was 2) and am taking on as many DIY projects as I can in my spare time!!! (LOL!) I was just hoping that there were some other May 2010 brides out there like me that are feeling the clock counting down...

lacyw41707 Thank you for venting what Im also feeling... I not only feel unorganized but unmotivated... like I know there's plenty yet to do but Im kinda feeling stagnant...

My sister just moved up this weekend and Im hoping to dump lots on her while she is still unemployed... now if I can find the motivation to go thru the piles of boxes in the spare room to even drag out what I want her to look at... ugggh...

Really?  Right now Im kinda wishing my FI chose to elope.  I gave him the option and he chose wedding but I had no idea all the planning and detail that's involved.... Oh and let's not even mention that he is in NYC and Im in FL so guess what that means??? Im doing it all on my own right now... :(

I too am feeling overwhelmed.  Like to the point where I feel sick & lose my appetite. LOL

I think for me it's because I know there's so much time left, but the holiday's are coming, then it's 2010 then BAM.  Here come's the bride.

I'm unmotivated, feel like I have no more money to blow, wishing we could skip straight to the honeymoon. LOL

Not freakin yet but i feel like I'm ahead of the game.  Have you made your to-do lists?  Keep crossing your things off....it'll make you feel better.  I have no doubt that when 2010 hits....I will FREAK!  :-)

oh yes, I have a freak out once to twice a week depending on what I'm working on with the wedding!!! I feel like there's  not enough time, yet gosh I wish it would hurry up and get here! Can you believe how much everything costs because it has a label on it for a wedding???

ChrisNScott  My thoughts and sentiments exactly!!!  At one point I was ahead of the game but lately Ive lost motivation... could have something to do with the fact that my FI is still trying to find work in FL but in the meantime he's in NYC... that doesnt help me out one bit!  All my spare money is going to something wedding related... $20 here, $40 there, $60 there... it all adds up!  Im paying for the small things cause its just easier on me to put out small amounts here and there... for the large things $100 and over I use my FI's credit card ... that used to make me feel better but now Im thinking... his debt will soon be my debt!  Uggggh!

Seriously wishing we chose to have a destination wedding instead!  My FI's work situation may have us postponing our honeymoon another year and that also has me feeling depressed.... he's like "we're still going to go... I promise" but somehow that doesnt relieve what Im feeling, which is totally bummed :(

I think my planning is going well so far but now that we're getting closer, I'm starting to freak out about the finances of it all! I've got a professional license with a pretty hefty renewal fee due by the end of this month, a surprise cruise my grandmother bought for us (well, 1 of us and we have to pay for the other of us to go in addition to spending money for the trip) at the beginning of Decemeber, followed by the holidays with a large family! When I start budgeting for all of the above considering the things I still need to book for the wedding and just seems a little out there. When we first started planning, my parents wanted to help but my mom has since been laid off. FI works in the landscaping industry and with winter right around the corner, business is sure to slow down! *sigh* I know everything will work out but it sure is hard to stay positive!

the check lists help, for sure. it's overwhelming not having the photographer yet; it took me forever to pick a caterer, I don't feel like meeting anyone else! I'm also not sure about invitations: I'm not that creative and I am not sure what I need or where to find a good, inexpensive, quality deal.

I'm with you on the stress!

ditto rallison on the check list.  We just went over it last night & we are on track...

We are meeting a possible DJ Monday night.

Now I have anxiety because he'll just be one more vendor to pay on our wedding day!

I PRAY WE ALL WIN THE LOTTO!
