My wedding isn't for at least a year, but FI and I had an idea that instead of doing the rice/birdseed/sparkler/bubble thing we would have everyone ring a bell.  But we would need 200-250 bells.  So anyway, I've been looking into this in case we need to start looking for bells now, and I found this:

Is that just cheesy?  I would probably use a monogram if we went with custom.

It could be cute-  but noisy!  And if there are kids you're going to go bat shit crazy with the sound of bells all day long.  (Or maybe that's just me!  ha ha)

actually i think its cute if your wedding is close to the holidays. to minimize noise, have an usher give them out as folks leave the reception as a parting gift not a favor.

They have lil bells at Michaels and Wally World in the wedding section...I haven't seen this done, but heard of it...it could be super cute!

I've actually seen this at a wedding except it was used as a way to get the bride and groom to kiss instead of the champagne banging.  They were tiny little bells like the size of a thimble inside our placecard.

We have two young boys and they will be ringing bells to annouce my arrival at the ceremony.  I believe I read somewhere that this is a tradition done in another country.  (The young attendants ring bells to annouce the bride's arrival.)

Honestly, I think that many bells would be too loud.  Perhaps split it up- some guests get bells and some do rose petals.

cheesy? no

loud and annoying? yes

it's like the jingle bells during the Holidays - sounds so nice and festive at first, but after about 10 minutes - you're like "shut uuupppppp"  i'd hate for your reception to be interrupted by the bells.  you dont want your head "ringing" all night =)

but if youre deadset on it - go all out kwim??
