ivoy dress and platinum vest

FI picked out a platinum tie and vest, but my dress is ivory. Do you think it'll look funny, or am I just nit-picking?

It's probably ok. I don't think I would notice.

I'm thinking it would look really nice for you and your FI to both wear ivory, and for the other guys to wear a different color. That way the groom stands out.

I kind of like the look of an ivory vest, so you and your FI will look like you're together.

Mine did, too. I had an ivory dress as well. Since my dress had silver accents it matched well. If your dress has a more yellow tone it might not work. You'd have to show us photos. GL!

I think ivory vest would look better with an ivory dress. That's what we did (though my dress was darker than ivory).

At the risk of stating the obvious... could you get swatches and match them up? Hold them up in the mirror, take them out in sunlight and hold them under different lamplights?
