i had a good week last week! as of this morning, i'm down 1.6 lbs! i still don't consider it a real loss yet since i've been fluctuating up and down over the last two weeks, but i am happy about it because i lost 1" from my waist, .5" from my hips and .5" from my thighs! i know that if i keep up the momentum, i'll keep it off and lose more!

i really want to contribute to the PWSD lbs lost thread, but i'm not going to post until i'm actually below my starting weight. that will be one of my goals for next week!

here's how my week looked:

monday: 35 minutes on the elliptical + JM's 30 day shred
tuesday: nothing
wednesday: 40 minute cardio/resistance dvd + 30 minute cardio/abs dvd
thursday: salsa class
friday: Couch to 5K run (35 mins) + another 40 minutes walking on the treadmill alternating high/low incline
saturday: JM's 30 day shred
sunday: 20 mins weights/abs + Couch to 5K run (35 mins) + another 20 minutes walking on the treadmill alternating high/low incline

last week's goals:

  • complete the week 4 C25k session at least 2 more times
    [check! and i'm ready to move on to week 5!!!]


  • make it to the gym monday, tuesday, thursday, friday and saturday
    [so i didn't actually make it to the gym on all of those days, but i did get in a good workout on 6 out of 7 days last week, so check!]


  • add JM's 30 day shred on monday, wednesday, saturday and sunday
    [after doing the shred on monday, i remembered that one of the reasons i stopped doing it was that it gave me knee pain... so when i do it, i have to take it easy when i do the squats and lunges, and i'll keep it to two days a week instead of 4 times]

  • keep my calorie intake between 1200 and 1300
    [check!]

  • drink more water
    [check! i only had diet soda three times last week, as opposed to having it with lunch and dinner almost every day... this is a really big step for me!]

  • get a good night's rest every night
    [check!]

my goals for this week are similar:

  • complete all three of the week 5 C25k sessions
  • exercise everday including at least 6 cardio workouts and 3 strength workouts
    • monday = cardio dvds
    • tuesday = C25k + weights
    • wednesday = 30 day shred
    • thursday = salsa class
    • friday = C25k
    • saturday = elliptical + 30 day shred
    • sunday = C25k
  • keep my calorie intake between 1200 and 1300
  • drink more water
  • eat more fruits and veggies
  • get a good night's rest every night

Wowza!! You are blowing me away with your consistency and motivation, that's awesome!  I'm so glad you're seeing some results.  It's so great to lose inches :D :D

You're workouts look great!  Keep up the hard work, and boy is it hard!  Arrrgggg :)
