i can't help it but...every time Sean spends thousands on his hobbies (recording music, home theater, etc.) i get jealous. like "spend some time looking at rings for me!" meh! i really am trying hard not to force a proposal out of him, but i am sooooooooooo tired of waiting (almost 8 years now). he says he wants to wait another year or so (a whole year!) b.c he's still training at work and he wanted to be able to focus on wedding stuff w/o the stress of work. i understand where he's coming from...but.... why can he focus all this time and energy (and money) into his hobbies?!

all i have to say is that he better research/shop around/care as much about an engagement ring as he does his hobbies!

John HAS the ring, but still hasn't proposed! I can't decide if I'd rather him just wait without a ring or what he's doing now. I'm just over it!!

Vent away its always good to let it out!! But you might want to set down and talk to him about the time line he has set. Waiting is the worst trust me I know, but I have my own time line set and if I don't have the ring by next january. I will have to rethink somethings myself!! Anyway don't give up keep the faith!!!

I know what you mean! Pat has said over and over that he "needs" to get me a ring, but just last weekend he spent $600 on new wheels for his mustang! Then he tells me later that he doesn't have the money for a ring...
