A friend of mine wants to have all the bridesmaids in jeans. And then she decided that she was going to wear jeans and a cute shirt instead of a dress. She saids she wants to be different and she wants her wedding to stand out. Personally I think that it is your wedding and you should do what ever makes u and ur groom happy. If that is how yall are comfortable and happy than Im happy. What do yall think it is a good idea??

no it is an outdoors wedding. I dont think it is a terrible idea. she isnt really a dress kinda girl. and he is always saying how breath taking she is in a pair of jeans. they both seem very happy wiht the idea but i dont want people talking behind her back either. do U really think it is that bad of an idea??

Yes. She could do a pants suit. But its her wedding. I would just feel odd being in jeans at a wedding

Why not just go to city hall or have a minister do it while they sit on the couch? Sorry, That probably sounds mean but I wouldn't even go as a guest to a wedding in jeans, and ys it's her day but keep it classy lol

Oh I think everyone have another idea of her wedding, but I really would felt bad if people would wear jeans on our wedding, especially me (bride) etc.

I think she sounds very non-traditional and that her idea is something *she* is happy with, and that's what really matters. No, it's not what we normally think of when we think of wedding attire, but there are lots of molds that are being broken these days. Just a few years ago, brides never had more than one dress, colored bridal gowns were major taboo, and bridesmaids dresses always matched, just to give a few examples. If this bride truly wants a simple, casual outdoor wedding in jeans, who are we to say she shouldn't do it? I think if it's what she really wants, she should go for it!

I think it would be great! I would be much happier in jeans at my wedding, but we're already doing such a low-key day that I felt bad that my parents wouldn't get to see me in a dress!

Good for your friend for doing what she wants even though it's so different (I'm very jealous!! Lol)

If she doesn't want to wear a dress, or have dresses for her BM's and shes happy about that, then good for her! :) I love weddings! I would go to any wedding, it doesn't matter if its jeans, dressy, formal, classy, costumes, etc...if i'm invited and can make it, im there! The attire is not what matters, it matters about the marriage of the couple becoming one :)

More power to them for saving money aswell! ;)

I am all for it! Whatever she wants! I would much rather see a wedding reflect the couple, than reflect tradition for the sake of tradition.

And also, how much would it suck to be a bride with your heart set on jeans and have people freak out about it? I believe that it is important to support someone spending their special day however they see fit!! At my wedding we made people drink lemonade and iced tea in mason jars, and had a barbecue in the back yard for a reception! Not your traditional formal wedding, but it was what made sense for us! We're not traditional formal people, why should we have a wedding (to celebrate us) that was any different??

=]

to each their own!!
