What are you ladies doing with your last name? Keeping it, taking his, hyphenating...

I cannot wait to take his. Four letters less than my maiden and simple! He thinks I am marrying him for the name!

LOL! Mine will be longer, but I love it! His last name is Prescott & I feel so important with that name :)

I am with Niki, I am taking it because it is short and simple! Easy to spell and pronounce! :)

I'm keeping mine, but only because our names put together sound aweful *L. His last name is Cober, which every hears as Cobern or Coberg so it's always needing to be corrected, and when put after Amber it just doesn't work for me *smiles*.

I'm hyphentating... it's going to be a long, multicultural mess, but I love it!

I'm definitely taking his. I'm a half Mexican girl who looks white and has a white last name. When I take his Mexican last name, people might actually believe me!

i have not decided. I have a little problem prononcing correctly. It's Osuna but I turn the s into a z when I say it. He gets so mad. lol For works purposes it will be a pain to change. I am considering hypenating.

With California's new state law (in effect Jan. 1st) the woman AND the man can change their name to whatever they want (that's right, WHATEVER) they want when they get married.

I might do a hypen of my step-dad's last name and my FI's. Mostly because he's like my real father since mine had passed and I've always wanted to incorporate it since he never had any sons.
