Kitchen Blinds...exhilarating stuff, I know!!

When we moved in I purchased the cheapest kitchen blinds possible, and they look like crap!  I think I want wood blinds with a fabric valance.  What color wood do you think?  DH said maple, but I think that's probably too much maple with the cabinetry (and no guarantee that the shades will exactly match anyway).  I was leaning towards white, but then those are going to get dirty more easily and also that window wall is white as well.  We have a wood table in the adjoining dining room and dark wood bar stools too...so a lot of wood going on!!  I appreciate your input :)

This pic shows the brazilian cherry floors & the cabinet color...and a little bit of the window!

I would match the floor

The floor has tons of different colors in it though.  There are parts that are super red, parts that are as light as oak & parts that are as dark as walnut.  Which shade of the floor (because I haven't seen anywhere that sells brazilian cherry blinds)?

Without looking at samples and bringing them home, I would lean towards white. My concern would be to put the darker wood right by the maple wood as I'm not sure how that would look and maybe it would look fine but I can't visualize it unless I see it.  LOL.  I do love your floor next to the cabinets but I'm thinking it might be too much wood then if you added a darker wood blind.  I would get some samples first to see if it would be too much.

Yup, I'd go with white. The fabric valance and the cabinetry will break up any monotany with the wall color.

Go with white.  For sure.

We just got blinds from Ikea the other day, and I think they were $29.99 and the quality is really good!
