Well, we DID it!!!  We got a quote from DH's uncle to redo the kitchen cabinets (replacing the ones we currently have) and adding cabinets to our currently naked wall, but it was very out of budget, so we talked about it and decided that for right now, it would make more sense to get cabinets for the naked wall so we can have more storage space and next year, we will replace the opposite side.

DH went yesterday and ordered them, and they will be here in 2 weeks.  : )  We got in-stock cabinets in a Cognac color and the best part...they were 20% off.  : )

YAY!  I couldn't believe the price of a kitchen makeover when we were thinking about just redoing the home we are in or to build a new one.  It was crazy!   We decided a new home since the one we are in is older and we didn't want to put that kind of money into an older home.  So I hear ya!
