Did any of you ladies buy your dress from Kleinfield Bridal? If so what's your experience. I booked my appointment for September 5th. I have browsed through alot of dresses on there site and I found the one! It's a Kenneth Pool dress. Do I print it out and show them or just tell them the designer? Do they allow you to take pictures of the dress? How many people are allowed to come with you? Thanks in advance.

I didn't go to Kleinfelds (budget issue) I got my dress at RK Bridal. You might want to check to see if RK carries the style because they are so cheap. I tried on a dress in a store in Brooklyn 1000.00  RK's price 600.  RK alterations price is 350.00 I think this is pricey.  but have fun at Kleinfelds I'm a big fan of Say Yes to the Dress.

I also wanted to try Kleinfelds but because of budget constraints, decided it was best not to tease myself, lol. I would print out the dresses so that you can have a quick easy reference-to...I'm sure it'll make their job easier. Good luck on finding your dream dress!

I went to kleinfeild's and the XP was very nice however the pricing is a little expensive it is good to go to bridal shop just to get a feel of what kind of dress looks great on you. I tried on a ton of dresses and the one dress that I did like the total amount of the dress was 4850 w/o alterartions what they do is they custom make the dress to your size at the time of order if your dress has beading at the bottom like mine did that is an extra 350.00 8-0. Not to mention if you plan on looosing weight for the wedding that is another 500.00 for alterations........I really had to sleep on the dress to see if I really wanted to spend that kind of money on a dress for one day(although my mom was buying my dress) I was going to RK bridal there prices are very reasonalble after I went to Filenes Basement for the running of the brides to see if I can find a dress and I found one similar to the almost 6000.00 dress in kleinfelds... But again I would only suggest to go there so that you do have that xp and know where to start as far as looking for a dress =D GOOD Luck if you haven't found one yet.

I got my dress from RK Bridal. My consultant Janice was great! She new exactly which style would look good on my body & I ended up getting a great dress for $810; my jacket for the ceremony $190. My veil I will get @ the wholesale store on 6th av btw 28/29th streets ($60-100). My alterations will be done on Flatbush where the prices are dirt cheap.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Kleinfeld!!!! i had a great experience there!! and they do have a lot of expensive dresses... but I gave them my budget and my consultant was showed me tons of dresses at my budget... i end up with a 800 dress that i absolutely love it!  i wouldn't buy the veil there... i did mine, and I regretted later, because the veil was almost the price of the dress... i could have found many other ones less expensive....

and I even got corporate discount! so if you work for a big company tell them! you could get up to 500 discount depending on the price of the dress...

Good luck!!!!

I went to kliendfelds but didn't get my dress there. I had come with specific dresses in mind from their website but they didn't have all of them in stock. I did really like one from jane wang and she happened to be there when I tried it on and stayed with me during my appointment but made it a little nerve-recking b/c I felt bad saying if I liked anything else.I think I kind of would have liked to see what they "pulled" if I didnt have stuff in mind but they only brought my the dresses I asked for.

Yes bring print outs/ bring pictures of dresses/styles you like.  You only have about an 1 hr - 1.5 hrs in your appointment and you dont try on very many dresses. Maybe 5 total.

NO places in NY that I went to "allowed" you to take pictures the dresses unless you purchase the dress which was kind of lame. You can bring as many people as you want really but I think they suggest to keep it within reason, say 4-5 people. I think there is info on their website about that. And I agree with fernandaaraujo (above), dont get an accessory or veil unless they are throwing it in. They are way overpriced.

Also, try other shops too. Shop around. Macys Bridal Shop at the macys on 34th (its on the 8th fl) had a decent selection and most all of the gowns were under 2k. I went to RK as well, but only for bridesmaids dresses.
