I have been having abdominal pain fro a couple years now. WHen I lay down if there is any pressure put on my lower abdomin it hurts realyl bad. They have not been able to figure out what could be causing the pain so they are leaning towards endometriosis. (sorry I suck at spelling) Anyways. I have a laparoscopy scheduled for Friday.

I am not really worried about the laparoscopy itself. I am more worried that they are going to say that they found nothing.

So this is an explorative procedure? I had laproscopy done back in June due to a huge cyst attached to my ovary. The procedure itself only took about an hour and I was back home the same afternoon.

I can't really assure you that there is nothing there... Did they have to do a pelvic MRI?

They have done all blood tests possible, A CAT Scan and they have done ultasounds. And they have no idea what it could be so they just want to take a look.

Is there any recovery time with it or are you good to go for lifting and everything?

I wish you asked this sooner... an MRI shows more than a CAT scan does, especially if yo use contrast. But I think you should be all right with the procedure.

I was up and around in about four days but worked from home for an extra week. You'll experience some bleeding and cramping anywhere from a few days to  your next period, but it shouldn't be more than a pantyliner can handle. It's been three months and I still haven't been able to comfortably lift objects heaver than ten pounds so be prepared for that.

Definitely not lol! You'll bee too tired and tender to do much of anything for a while. I've just now gone back to exercising and even that's just light cardio (nothing that requires me to bend or add any kind of negative pressure on my lower abs). As long as you take it easy, you'll be fine.

I definitely have had one.  I actually had one about 5 years ago and it was because I had endometriosis.  I haven't had as bad of problems since then but I have to take BC continiously so that helps some.

They think its endometriosis. I cant just be on any BC tho cuz I have the factor 5 thing where my blood clots easy. I just want to get whatever it is figured out. I havent had many other endometriosis symptoms tho. I was also born with gastroscisis so I am wondering if it is just scar tissue built up.

Hello! I have had two done and listen to everything Taibaby said. My hardheaded but was moving around and went back to work before I should have and got an infection. I have pain on my right side, constantly, for years now, and my obgyn specialist decided not to do a third one because he said I probably have a lot of scar tissue from the previous two and that is probably why I am in pain. I have to have a hysterectomy because I am at complete uterine prolapse. The only way they said they will do another one is if I have uterine cancer. Just relax and heal after the procedure.
