Monday my FSIL wrote me an email saying that she was asking my FI "for months" for names of my friends to invite to a shower, and
"finally at the 11th hour" she gets some. (She asked him once during a birthday party for other family members that I was also attending, then didn't mention it again until almost 2 months later.) About a week ago, he did remember and
get a few, but the very next day she wrote and said it was "too late now". So really, this is all m y FI's fault, according to her, although she forgot about me for weeks. In her email to me she offered three vague options, so basically
I have two weeks to plan my own shower. I requested one of two dates, and my other FSIL replied, but then 1st FSIL said just "Either one. Just confirm." Snippy much? And that was only sent to 2nd FSIL, so it had to be
forwarded to me. So did you not care, you just want the two of us to figure it out and just tell you when to show up? Nice. FI feels terrible about not getting the names fast enough, and that was so sweet! Like it's the groom's
responsibility for helping to plan his bride's shower. He said I deserve to have this, and his attitude is what's making this better. I hinted that I didn't want 2st FSIL to bring her kids, cross your fingers.
This same person also wrote in the RSVP that she's going to force her son to come and enjoy it, DAMMIT!!!
