Has anyone thought about doing that or seen people who have done it?  Any pics would be great.  We are trying to go for a modern and less formal vibe.  Our colors are dark purple (grape) with lime green and light grey as accents.  Its been so hard to find stuff online and I don't think most places (ie: men's warehouse, S&K and the usual) rent stuff like that?

I was just in Macys today and they have a gray suit by "Lauren" by Ralph Lauren...their lower line.  It's 199.00 and I think it will go on sale even lower on Wednesday.

We decided to buy a suit for FI instead of renting as well.

Yea...I think we will definitely buy for the groom---what a great deal at Macys!---just wasn't sure what to do with the groomsmen.  If they don't buy and rent---nervous about all the shades of grey matching. 

KT - we JUST decided to go the suit route on a shopping trip on Saturday and our wedding is in 3 weeks!  Up until then we were flip flopping between suits and tux rentals from Men's Wearhouse.

FI bought a Hugo Boss all black suit from Nordstroms.  We figure that I spent a lot of money on my gown, he mind as well splurge just a bit for something that he'll wear for many years to come.  We're both really excited!

As for our two grooms man, there's a place downtown that's really popular with the LA Knot girls called J. Valentin.  They have cheaper man made suits for $100-130 wholesale (pants/jacket).  Since they're all black suits, it's all good.  They don't have to match the exact hue and we can't expect our two brothers to buy the Hugo boss suit either.

speaking of a hugo boss suit at nordstrom's...  there's a sale starting tomorrow, i think.  i passed through a sneak preview room last week.  they have a $700 gorgeous black boss suit on sale for about $500.  that's a great investment in a quality piece.  i'm still totally on the fence about what to dress my man in.  anyone have any good ideas to go with my navy/ivory/blush themed oct 08 wedding?
