I totally cheated and used boxed cake but its sooo pretty. My rainbow cake I got the idea from pinterest. 

It turned out AMAZING! :O

I made it yesterday as a test for Friday for my best friends birthday. I think i'm going to try a different icing next time maybe make my own butter cream. 

That looks amazing!! So do you use 1 cake mix for every color? I would like to try this.

I bought two cake mixes and split them up between 6 bowls. 

It made a pretty tall 8 inch round cake!

I used this recipe and video on how to assemble it. 

Thanks for posting the recipe.  I'm going to try this.  I will let you all know how it turns out.
