So last week something possessed me to agree to going to a "Slumber Party" with my SIL (Like Pampered Chef but with adult "toys")...anyway this party is tonight and I'm starting to get a little nervous. I'm imagining all sorts of crazy things and my anxiety level is rising by the minute.

I don't necessarily consider myself a prude but this type of thing definitely makes me blush...add to that, that the person I'm going with is my DH's sister....so it's even weirder if I were to actually get something...kwim??

So help me out girls! Is it really as bad as I'm thinking...or is it more tame? I need some reassurance here

No it's not that bad. I mean they let you try the stuff out. Not out in the open but you can go try it in the bathroom. They give you a smell arm and a taste arm to try out the stuff.

This might sound stupid but what do they have you try that you have to go to a bathroom...and does everyone "try" the same thing...lol!

LOL The last one I went to, they had some kind of nipple cream and some kind of cream that's supposed to make you hot or something down there. They take a Q tip or something and put some on there and you can go try it.

I've never been to one but i'm sure it's not that bad...but I can definately see how it would be kinda weird with it being your FSIL and all...I'm sure it will be fine though.

Yeah I just really don't want to know what my SIL brings into the bedroom...kwim? and vise versa....

Well the only way you'll know what she buys is if she tells you.  They take you into another room to make any purchases in private.  Is she the type to want to make sure everybody knows what's going on in her business?

My sister had one as part of her bachelorette party.  It was a Pure Romance party, actually.  Some of the girls were very bold with what they talked about.  Some (including me) weren't.  Everybody had a good time, though.

I thought the funniest moment of the night was when the very polite consultant was showing a product called Riding Dirty.  She told about how you suction it to the wall of the shower and use it in there.  We also had brochures with all the products in them.  All of a sudden, my cousin, who was sitting next to me saw it in the brochure and realized what it was for and squealed out "Oh my gosh!  It's for your BUTT!!!"  HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!  Cracked me up.

OMG!!!! LOL!!!! That is not tame at all!!! I was thinking some lube...vibrating stuff...maybe a thing or two for the guys but something that you stick to the wall of the shower that's for your BUTT!!!! I have no words....

I've told DH my concerns and he thinks that everything should be fine and not to worry...just have a glass of wine and smile and it'll be over before I know it.

LOL...The funny thing was that she was so polite and discreet about everything....unless someone asked for an explanation....then she was blunt.  She was this lady probably in her late 40's with a long floral dress and was a little on the homely looking side.  That's why it was so funny to see her presenting these products. 

But seriously, for the most part it was lotions and sprays and stuff.  There were a few vibrators and stuff like that.  I think they get a feel for what the crowd is like and that determines how bold they get.  This group of girls were talking about their sex swings, so she didn't really have to hold back much.

I really don't think you have anything to be worried about, though.  You'll have a good time.  I completely agree with your DH. 

Oh man, I feel you on the awkwardness. FI's friend's girlfriend invited me to one of these. I have only met this girl a few times! I politely declined. FI wants me to get out and make friends more, but I told him: this is NOT the way!!
