My 5lb Chihuahua has been having random low blood sugar attacks. He becomes totally unstable, can't keep his balance, his eyes bulge, and he shakes uncontrollably. I'll give him Karo syrup which is a great immediate fix, but I'm wondering if there's any natural foods that I can give him that will add a little more sugar to his diet to help prevent these attacks. I was thinking like bananas or something along those lines.

I would talk to your vet usually just keeping him well fed helps with that maybe try a high quality diet like blue buffalo? I'd give your vet a call definitely.

Yeah I would definitely talk to your vet. Did he have this problem before? That's strange that its all of a sudden - makes me worry about my baby... :( Hopefully you can figure out how to stabilize his diet!
