I've got it a few days ago and been playin with it.
It's fun but the image quality is horrible when lighting is not ideal. It's not like Polaroid or toy camera, low quality but kinda artsy. The image is so over compressed and sharpened there's no way to save them.
But when lighting is fine, it's pretty good. The best application I found is food. How many times you focus on the chicken leg only wanting to see more of the red wine braised mushrooms in the back? LIke yesterday DH went to lunch with his
family, and he took a bunch of pictures of the food. It's so awesome to point to every little thing on the plate to see them in focus.
It's not awkward to hold for me, although I saw a reviewer complaining about it. I thought the design is great! It's a lot easier than holding an iPhone, which is slippery, hard to hold and press the button with one hand.
I wouldn't recommend anyone buying at this price range and quality, (oh the software is Mac only for now, so it excludes all PC users), unless you don't mind a $399 toy.
We have to exchange the unit, because the lens seal wasn't done right and there's light leak problems. It's disappointing how poor the construction quality is knowing that the first batch wasn't massive in quantity, and they still didn't
control the quality well.
The live Pictures Gallery is up, where you can see real users' photos and play with their live focus feature.
