Makeup-To do myself or not to do myself!!

I'm so confused right now. I just realized that with only 3 months left, I never thought about having my makeup done!!  I have no idea where to start on such short notice and to top it off, no one I know has had theirs done professionally. I'm thinking of going to Sephora and doing a makeover and just buying the products that they use on me.

You can talk to any makeup artists that work at retail stores (i.e. Sephora, Nordstrom, Macys...so on and so on)  Most of the make up artists do freelance work and weddings on the side.  Definitely talk to them, Im sure if they cant do it, then they will know someone who can.

if you feel like traipsing through the mall...i think MAC will do your wedding day makeup for like $20...but you would have to go there...

There's nothing wrong with doing your own makeup. Going to Sephora or MAC and doing a makeover to establish how you want your wedding day makeup to look is a good idea. It's what I did and I was really happy with it.

Plus, whenever a pro ever does my makeup, they always put on way more than I would ever wear. I don't wear makeup every day, so even a little can be really obvious on me. For my wedding I got my makeup "done" at Bare Escentuals and Sephora (both in San Jose) for a couple of trial runs to figure out what I wanted to do. I used some of their products and ended up doing my own. The chick who helped me at Bare Escentuals did a really awesome job, she did one eye and then had me do the other... and gave me pointers along the way. I would have hired her for my wedding if she did that kind of thing.

I am doing mine myself, just b/c I feel like makeup is a personal thing for me and I want to look like myself. I think going to Sephora is a great idea. You can call and make an appt. and they will do it for free. If you like it you can buy what they use! If not, maybe try a different Sephora and try different products until you find what you like. 

i had someone do mine. just so i didnt have to worry about it on my wedding day.. PLUS i dont know how to put make up on haha

i agree with the other ladies to either go to mac or sephora. id totally recommend my girl to you but we live in cali and youre all the way on the otherside of US.
