I feel bad chatting on the other post.

I am so glad you sis is loving Princeton!! Forbes is kind of bummer, long walk but nice rooms and all. I loved it, but I must say, glad to be back in west coast weather. My FI went there too, we both had awesome experiences, though very different. I played water polo and was a politics major, he swam and acted and was an engineer (opposites attract I guess!)

If she is involved in either of those academic fields and wants advice on teachers, classes, etc. let me know!!

awesome! thank you! Yeah at first she was bummed that its so far but now she loves it and their Sunday brunches! :) However, like you, we both perfer the west coast weather. She did soccer this year and joined a volunteer group. Next year she wants to do crew or an Indian dance group called Nacho. She started as an engineer major and is now undecided and possibly getting into Sociology. She secured an internship in LA for the summer and things are good! She may want to take some political courses so I'll let you know if she does!  I love being out here for her and i live vicariously through her since i went to USC it was a totally different experience. hehe. what are you doing now? i bet you were able to land a sweet job. that's one thing i noticed, Princeton connections take you far. Farther than my USC connections!

Hi,

I would totally recommend she stay as an engineer if she can handle it. My roommate was a civil engineer and my fiance was a computer engineer and they both make over twice what I make (paralegal until law school). I may be overstepping my bounds here, but I would suggest she think long and hard about getting into a new major. The sociology majors I knew had a hard time getting summer jobs and jobs after school, but that is just from my experience.

Princeton does give you great connections, the thing is, you need to take advantage of the connections, they don't just hand themselves to you. It helped me get my jobs all through school and now at the law firm I am with. The best thing is, no one can ever take away that degree, you will be a Princeton grad your whole life.

She should totally do Naacho, I had friends who did it and it was really cool. The nice thing about Pton is that there are TONS of opportunities to join clubs and do sports and a million other things.

It is funny you went to USC, I am from SoCal and basically my entire high school goes to USC for college.  What do you do in NYC? (That should be one of the questions on the introduction post- what you do for a living)
