Hi guys!

Alright, I've been married for about 2 months and I am having the hardest time remembering to use my new last name. I still sign "Smith", my old name, at least 5 times a day. That's alot!! How long did it take all of you to remember to use your new name regularly??

Ya...its still weird for me after almost 6 months.  Granted, I didn't change my name until last month.  My maiden name is a very simple (commonly a first name).  Now its a mouth full and no one knows how to say or spell it, lol!!!  Don't get me wrong...I'm beyond proud to be Mrs. "M..."   :)  Just wish it was easier to say and spell.  Technically, I don't even say it with the correct "accent" even after practicing, LOL!!!  Oh well.

Not too long...because both my husband and father-in-law reminded me CONSTANTLY!  Plus, it's not a huge change from being a Lew to being a Lee :)  Most people just think it's a typo!

Haha, you had it easy JD!  I just know I'm going to have the hardest time adjusting to that.  Thankfully I'll be changing my maiden name to my middle name so even if I slip I won't technically be wrong! =)

I went from something of a mouthful to something that is short/simple...  I had a little practice signing my new name when I was working on the TY cards ;)  Since I still haven't finish changing all my last names yet (ugh - another story), I'm in the "in between" stage!

I'm dreading this. I have devised the perfect signature for my maiden name (I'm a nurse, so I sign my name a billion times a day). I've gotta come up with a whole new signature! :(

My problem is my maiden name starts with a B and my married name will be an R; I've practiced so much but I always want to turn that R into a B when I'm handwriting...it'll be a loooooong time before I get it right

Amazingly, I had no problem switching (and I didn't even practice my new signature).  I had to wait a month after the wedding to change it, by then I was used to be called Mrs. H.  However, my married name is alot easier to spell and pronounce and still starts with an H.  One thing that helped me is that every time I signed my name I was mentally saying the name too. :)  It is actually strange to have to sign my maiden name now.

I am finally used to my name.  I have to think about how to sign the maiden one as well now.  It helps that I am a teacher.  I have been called my new last name so many times now that it almost feels natural.
