We just got married on 10.10.10, so everything is just sinking in, but honestly I do not think that I would have done anything differently, except maybe we could have not given our venue such a high "guarantee" number.  I think that is the only thing I can look back on so far and say that we made a mistake on, as we lost out on a little bit of money.

Oh yes, one more thing.  I would have stood up for myself MUCH more than I did and not worry about making everyone else happy.  Although I had everything the way that DH and I wanted, it was the battle sometimes.

the only thing i can really think of is i would have made it more clear to our baker and reception venue to save the leftover cake.  we only needed a 3 tier cake for our # of guests but liked the way a 4-tier looked better so we got 4 and planned on saving the leftover.  well when the baker delivered the cake to the chef at the reception venue he told the chef to just cut the whole cake up for the # of guests we had, not saving ANY of it.  so Dh and I didnt get to eat ANY of our cake (when it was passed out neither of us were hungry so we didnt eat it, figuring we'd just have some of the leftovers the next day... apparently we should have eaten it that night...) and EVERYONE kept telling us how it was the best wedding cake theyve ever had.  so it was just poor communication... too late now, but i guess thats the only thing id change if i could.

I would have eaten the morning of my wedding so that I wouldn't have passed out on the altar! LOL!

We just got married this past Saturday and there are a few issues I have been trying to deal with.  But I finally came to terms with everything and am choosing to focus on everything that was good about the day!  :)

I too would have stuck up for myself more and stopped worrying so much about everyone else's feelings. Good news is, I realized this before the actual wedding day and I was able to just focus on me and my new husband (10.23.10)!! Also, this is SO embarrassing, but I am pretty sure my boob fell out when my hubby dipped me after our first dance. PRETTY SURE! OMG...no one says they saw it, but who knows. I would have double checked my fitting if I could do it all over again hahaha.

LOL, oh my.  I have been going through some of our photos and I see that my DH was not standing close to me during some of the shots and I mentioned it to him and he said that he did not want to mess up my dress.  LOL.

I would have remembered our bouquets! Halfway to the venue (with us already running late) we realized we'd forgotten them at my mother's house - good thing I only spent about $150 on them cause there was no way we were heading back to pick them up. I wasn't phased but my daughter was crushed - our DOC managed to hunt up a basket and leaves for her to toss instead - completely saved the day.
