I talk about marriage and getting engaged with my bf all the time. We are currently finishing up our sophomore year in college so we plan on getting married in about 3 yrs. He's always said that the engagement would happen in 2011 sometime, probably the second half of the year, butttt he and his family are going to the beach this summer and I might be invited. I keep thinking that the beach would be a wonderful place to get engaged and that maybe he keeps telling me next year to throw me off. It would be wonderful if it happened this summer but I don't want to get my hopes up. Ahhh. Anyone else thought it was going to happen at a certain point and then it didn't??

Yeah, every day I have seen him for the past two years...........He's had the ring for 8 months. 

Yes, I thought he might do it on Christmas, nope. I thought he might do it on New Years, nope. I thought he might do it after he finished his marathon, nope. I thought he might do it Valentines Day, nope. I thought he would do it on his birthday, nope. I thought he might do it on our anniversary, nope. Now I don't get my hopes up at all.
