I posted something about how we're using the Marine Corps Hymn and Proud to be an American for music. Our first wedding, he wore his uniform. I think that's pretty much it, we're not doing anything else special. We were going to do a whole Marine Corps themed wedding and incorporate all those things, but we wanted the typical wedding since our lives revolve around all things military! :)

I'm new to this group and just saw this thread. I know it's a little old, but there are a couple things we're doing for our military wedding:

You can find really nifty military cake toppers! I googled that topic a while back and a ton of sites came up. We haven't picked one out yet, but many sites custom make each topper with hair color for the bride and groom, the neckline for the bride's dress, and I've even seen a couple that will do intricate customizations like the uniform, rank, and decorations for the groom. They are so cool and a nice way to tie in the military to your wedding :)

We are also thinking we want to do the Arch of Swords at the ceremony. I found information on it here: http://www.wedalert.com/content/articles/arch_of_swords.asp  I think this is such a cool tradition! There are videos on youtube of it in action and it is super neat!

That's all we have in mind for now, but our wedding isn't until June 2012 so we still have lots of time lol

The only things we are planning to do is the Arch of Swords, cutting the cake with DF's sword, and him in his dress blues. Other then that we're trying to make it about us and not the military.

Yes it is apart of our lives and will be, but at the same time I look at it as I'm marrying my DF, not the military. Yes he wears the uniform and it is apart of him, but it's not all of him.
