I've been seeing Milly dresses all over this site and just wondering what exactly are they...?

Where do they come from and how long does it usually take? I've seen people say over seas...

How much does it usually cost? Is it a big difference compared to the regular price?

Can they do extra added things to the dress? Like instead of a corset back have buttons and maybe add a big bow? And are the fabrics of good/GREAT quality?

And the usual...customer service and how you liked the experience!

Any extra advice would be appreciated too!

Thanks Ladies!!!

I've been seeing Milly dresses all over this site and just wondering what exactly are they...? Dresses made by a dressmaker in China.

Where do they come from and how long does it usually take? I've seen people say over seas... China and the timeline is pretty inconsistent. All I can advise you is to order many, many months in advance, mine took twice as long as they quoted.

How much does it usually cost? Is it a big difference compared to the regular price? Depends on what the dress usually costs retail. These are replicas, so they will not be exact and if the dress you like only retails for $600-800, then no, it's not going to be much difference in price. I see on average somewhere in the $300-400 before shipping. If you are looking at a $4000 inspiration dress, then it might be worth a shot!

Can they do extra added things to the dress? Like instead of a corset back have buttons and maybe add a big bow? And are the fabrics of good/GREAT quality? Yes, they can do all of those things. The fabric is of very good quality.

And the usual...customer service and how you liked the experience! In my experience, it was a nightmare and the dress looked like a trainwreck. A few others on here felt the same way. However, many other girls had a great experience and wound up with beautiful dresses. My best advice would be to NOT order within the few months leading to their new year holiday, that seems to be a big source of their problems. Lots of rushing and shotty work. Communication could be a LOT better, particularly with Annie. Lots of emails or questions within the same email go ignored and it's not uncommon to have to ask the same thing 2, 3 or 4 times or catch her on the online chat to finally get an answer out of her. Try to be clear, short and to the point.

Thank you so much! Im sorry about the problems you've had, I think thats what I am worried about most, egtting a dress I am really unhappy with and I know I would be sooo over it if the customer service was bad and I really dont like repeating myself...thanks for the advice 2010bride2be!

www.millybridal.com - you can see their dresses and their prices here

I am in the midst of having mine completed. They are over 2 months late, but they have been pretty prompt in their replies to my questions. If you order from them, order EARLY. They are super short handed right now, which is why my dress will come 1.5 weeks before my wedding instead of their original completed time. (They told me end of January and then later mid-March, and now end of March.)

Look at my bio page for my timeline - u can get an idea of how long certain things take

Phannie - Your response makes me nervous to order.  I just received my quote... now I'm on the fence.  My wedding is in October
