You don't need to pay for these forms or give out your info to a middle party. It seems overwhelming but it wasn't that bad at all!!! The SS office and US Passport forms can be downloaded off their websites and turned into the office
with a copy of your marriage certificate or even mailed in. I changed my name on my license at the DMV (no forms needed), went to the SS office and signed the forms in front of a clerk, went to the tax collector and changed my
registration and car title and then mailed off my passport the day we got back from my honeymoon.... I was done before lunch. All of 6 of my credit cards simply took a quick phone call to customer service. The only one you have to actually do in
person is your driver's license, most can be called or simply faxed a copy of your marriage certificate.
