I kind of wish I were! All of our guests are out of town just because everyone is so spread out so FI thought later would be better to allow for travel delays and things. But in fantasy land, I wanted a morning wedding with tea, punch and cake for the reception... I think that is just the most darling thing ever.

we're having a 9am ceremony before it starts getting hott in herrr

since we're eloping, it will be just the 2 of us, the officicant, and his wife (the photographer) and witness i guess??? heehee

pretty basic - after ceremony, we're going to take pics for about an hour and then that's it... we'll probably drive around the island and ask random people to take more pics/candids of us on our camera...

i totally wanna take pics doing normal stuff - but only in my dress, like pumping gas, walking the aisle at a store, etc...

Ours starts at 11am, so technically morning. We reckon it'll be maybe 30 min. long at most, so over in time for lunch! We're breaking all the rules and not having our reception until the evening, so our guests have the whole afternoon to play.

What sort of ideas are you looking for?

We had a morning wedding. Our ceremony started at 9:30 and reception ended at 3:30. It was great since DH and I had the chance to take pictures after the reception at a different location. Our guests were able to take a nap and meet with us for dinner.

Yes, I'm also having a morning wedding! Our ceremony is supposed to be at 10am and I think the reception will be 11:30ish - I'm guessing our ceremony will be short, like 30 min and then a cocktail hour? I haven't quite worked out the timing yet.

Just have to say how overjoyed I was to see this post! I didn't think it was weird to have a morning wedding but my sister made me paranoid cause she thought it was REALLY weird.

We're also having a morningish wedding - 11am. The chapel we're getting married at was booked 2 years in advance for the afternoon time slot. I actually don't mind because we got a great deal on the lunch reception package. Cocktail/social hour will be 12:30 - 1:30. Dinner 1:30 - 3:30, and dancing until 5:30. I am hoping the cermony will be completed by 11:30.

We're getting married outside Chicago, but will now have the option to go into the city to take additional photographs since we have our photographer for a total of 12 hours.

The only thing I am not looking forward to is the 7am hair apointment. I'm still trying to work that out with my hairdresser.

I'm having a 11:30 ceremony, and the lunch reception follows right after. It's outdoors and I'm terribly worried about getting a sunburn :P

I think it's great because I love the outdoors and the sunlight.

We had a morning ceremony, started at 11:00am, took about 25mins, cocktail hour followed by lunch. Our reception ended at 4pm.

It was perfect, we got a chance to go home and relax. Since we were leaving for our honeymoon early the next morning. I was able to spend time with my family who came in from out of the country just the night before the wedding.

As a matter of fact, the feedback I got from some of our guests was great, that they still had time to do other things in the afternoon! Of course there was the few who asked "who gets married in the morning"

TNT, I was worried about hair and make up as well. But my hairstylist came to me and did my hair and a couple of the other girls, as well as the make up artist!

TNT!!! omg - i'm dreading the 630am hair and makeup!!  but on the upside - it wont be too hot in the morning to take pics - i dont wanna be "sweaty bride"
