Things are really starting to come along in our backyard! We spent all of yesterday digging, tilling, racking and fertilizing... now we have flowerbeds to be proud of!
... well it was hot over here in Ohio!! 95+... yikes! We did our best to keep working and keep cool. We got started in the yard at
9am and kept working till 7pm.
We got the pine trees planted, the stone based purchased for the rain barrel, and all the flower beds tilled and ready.
Here's some pics.
Our backyard before: (I don't have one facing the other way... but as you can see the bottom half had nothing!

After: pics from my phone b/c I forgot my camera!!

We planted two "green" pine trees on the left (I have no idea what kind they are) and on the left a flower garden with a blue spruce on the left...a
trellis with a honeysuckle vine and bench (needs some roses and lilies still). Those two trees back there are our neighbors.

Same two pine trees on the right. That left arrow is another blue spruce/flower bed closer to the house. There's a bamboo plant
next to it... random I know, but Matt had it laying around!! omg?! really?! haha.
Here's a pic of a bush that we trimmed into a tree just outside our back door. It's a Rose of Sharon... gorgeous now that it's blooming!!
I never even noticed it before as a bush lol.
