I posted this in the doggy forum too but I wanted to post it here too to get some more feedback...
So this morning I took my dog, Mongo to the vet for what I thought was just a visit to get a heartworm test and some heartworm medication. But as the vet was listening to him, I noticed she was taking a little while longer and had an almost puzzled look on her face. Well, she takes her stethscope off and says that my baby has a heart murmur, grade 2. My little guy will be two this summer and she said it's not very common for young dogs to have them b/c it's usually indicative of heart disease. I about had a panic attack, and found tears coming to my eyes. My dog is like my child - I love him to death and cannot imagine anything happening to him :( Please someone tell me their dog has a murmur and they are perfectly fine!
