And it upsets me that there is nothing I can do or say about this situation.

She (19) and her husband (22) were married March of this year and from day one have lived with our grandparents (also along with her younger brother (17), their mom, and their new step-father who stays over only on weekends. Yes, this situation IS as stupid as it seems) all live with my grandparents because as my aunt puts it "the house is too big for mom and dad to live in alone" and because they couldn't afford to live on their own.

Today I find out that they filled up the fridge inside of the house with all their take out, which makes my poor 85 year old grandmother who has arthritis walk out to the garage and use the fridge in there because they are too freakin selfish to keep the one in the house clear for our elderly grandparents! You know, the ones who OWN THE FREAKIN HOUSE!

A couple months ago, KNOWING that my grandfather DOES NOT want anymore pets because they already have 4 cats, buys a puppy EVEN AFTER getting a pay cut and acturally tries to hide it from them (my cousin actually told me this)! And when my cousin and her husband are at work they keep the puppy in a cage or some small space.

They never cook, they don't clean, they leave their crap all over the house, as my grandmother puts it my cousin is lazy and all she does all day is watch tv. And my aunt is even worse... ugh.

This isn't even all of what they do. After EVERYTHING my grandparents have done for ALL OF THEM, I can't believe they repay them with this crap.

Sounds to me like they are MAJOR freeloaders.

Makes me wonder- They are old enough be married and play "house", they should be adults and move out!

UGH I have family members like this as well. Bad things is they are in their 40's!

That's exactly what I said. I could understand if they got married, lived on their own, and something happened where that was no longer possible but no. They got married knowing full well that they could not live on their own and specifically planned on living with them or her father. And I don't think they even take marriage seriously because before they were married they acted like it was going to be all fun n games even though when they were dating it clearly was not, they swore they would play video games together, go out to eat, and travel all the time.

And my aunt is worse than them because she is 50 and has been living with her parents for about 15 or so years after her first divorce (because he messed up her credit which is reasonable but only for so long) and hasn't moved out even after getting married the second time this past January (and he lives with his DAD!). I'm still like WTF with these people.

My grandmother has told my DH that my cousin and aunt are the disappointments of the family. I can see why.
