Im down to my last "biggy": invitations.

My wedding is Nov 22 so I would like the invitations sent out hopefully no later than the first week of Sept. Our colors are different shades of gold and brown. Im using a lot of lace, feathers, pearls and crystals/sparkles (kinda like a shabby chic feel).

I searched for hours online. Went to stationary stores. When I ordered samples online, I wasnt satisfied with what I saw. I had ordered custom mock-ups from professionals but despite telling them what I wanted, the end result was still dissatisfaction or $25+/per invitation. I even tried DIY (complete failure and most importantly, I dont have the time).

So now what? Im stuck. I dont want a typical cookie cutter invitation and the invitations out there dont really reflect our style (which hasnt been a problem with everything else).

What's wrong with me? Any recommendations?

Thanks!

Juliet

Hi!

There is nothing "wrong" with you silly.. it's your big day and it's getting closer & every detail is important.

Check out etsy.com-look under the wedding invitations category. There are many simple invitations that are about $4 per set. Some of my favorites =)

ps..keep in mind you can customize any font, size & color to make it yours!

hope this helps,

Juliet-  I went thru the same thing. I ordered samples from a million different places, I went to printers  (all the ones I wanted were expensive)   etc.  I found someone thru a friend who did my STDs and they were awesome and cheap. BUT-  I designed the entire thing AND I insisted he  mount the paper (2 pieces together)  to make it thicker.

I can refer you to my guy, if you are in SoCal if not-  you can try what I did:  look @ everything. Find a high -end design that you love and alter it. And take it to a local printer and oversee the whole thing
