~ Need Advice ~

So I took my e-pic's 3 weeks ago with our photographer for the wedding. I finally got them back today. The only thing is I am so upset because I didn’t like the way they came out : (. I mean don’t get me wrong their were some that I really liked and we can use for our save-the-dates but the other formal one's we did in front of a castle that was set up for a hamlet play didn’t come out that well. Would it be bad if I asked the photographer to do another session because I wasn’t happy with the turnout of the pictures. I don’t want to piss her off I mean don’t get me wrong her work is amazing I just didn’t like the way our pic's turned out.

I would really appreciate any advice Ladies.

I think you can ask her by all means, but i wouldn't expect it to be free....did you have a consultation with her first to let her know what you and your FI were looking for, like as far as style, etc....

Their not that bad but a lot of them my hair is in my face. I have long hair and it looks funny because it looks like my FI is looking at cousin it. I hate to say that but it does. LOL. I will try to post them Im on my work computer so it might not let me.

I'm sure if you tell her that you were not satisfied, she may offer to fix that for you. See if you can possibly get a few more shots at a different location. What were you unhappy with - was it the lighting, or the scene, or just the way you looked in them (that's usually my biggest problem!)?

LaVitaBella, I was unhappy with the scene and also the lighting in most of them. Plus the way i looked didnt help either. I mean dont get me wrong their were some in our casul clothing that came out great but the ones in our formal clothing were the ones i was really dissapointed with. The formal ones were the ones I was really looking forward to also.

we just had ours....and all day my photog kept moving my hair...or having me move it...she said i would be glad we did....

i would just be honest with her about what you didn't like....and be honest with yourself about what you expect for these pix and your wedding day pix and whether you think she can deliver for you....it just might be that it's not a match made in heaven...if you like some of her other work...point out to her what you like about it....better to be honest now than have regrets when it's too late!

sometimes if you play around with the lighting in pictures and enhance them a bit, they can turn out much nicer, there's one online called picnik.com (i think), or if you'd like, I'd be happy to play around with them a bit on my program I have on my computer at home.

true...but there's only so much you can do through editing...a good photog needs to capture a good clean image "in the camera" and use editing to enhance those images....not "fix" problems....otherwise we'd all be supermodels!
