Hello Everyone!  I need some advice - I am doing a black and white wedding and am using a damask print.  I will have black table linens with this damask pattern as the table runners -

Hello Everyone I need photo 48678-1

I found these great vases today and I want to put them on the fireplace at my location.  They are much taller than they appear - they are just under 20 inches.

The picture below is my location - they would be on either side of the mirror with a bunch of small votives in between.  The plant or whatever that is there is not going to be up....

Here is my dilemma....

Do I go with the mostly white or the mostly black?  It's killing me because I love them both!  I picked up one of each for now and am going to exchange whichever one I don't want to make a matched pair.

Can you ladies help?  Which do you think I should use?  TIA!

Why not both?  I'm not sure how many vases you planned to put on each side but if it was more than 1 on each side then do both colors.  Just make sure both sides match.  for examable, black vases on the outside and the white ones closer to the inside and votives in the middle.  Does that make sense?  and btw, those are beatiful vases.  I love them!

I would do mostly black on white linens, & vice versa.  Also with lots of little votives to warm it up, or scattered diamond confetti, or rose petals.

I think the black would pop better off of the fireplace and the light background. Do you have an accent color like red, green or pink? I would get some smaller vases in the pop color to mix in. They don't have to all match. It would be nice to mix textures and sizes in the accent color if possible.

Just some food for thought :)

I agree with Wil.  The black will definitely pop off the fireplace better.

Allackha I was considering that as well!  I'm just not sure if it would be too much, plus they are $30 each.  Not that $120 is expensive but fiance isn't crazy about me buying 4 of them lol.

Originally I was thinking of having green as the accent color but I just haven't really found anything green I wanted to add.  So, it's just kind of just turned into black and white only lol.

I agree the black would pop better against the walls!  Plus, the white part on the mostly black vase is pretty thin - I could add water and a floating candle and make the white part glow with the candlelight.

I'm still a little torn but I think I will go back tomorrow and pick up 2 more so I have a little more time to decide without worrying about them selling out!

Thanks everyone for your opinion!
