Ok so my theme is Platinum and Ice

I am having a high tea

I really want to use my Grandmother's and Great Grandmother's Dresdan Quilt circles as table runners, but they were made from scraps of clothes from pre-depression through 5 generations of women. The last includes my daughters clothes.

I love them, but they are colorful and no two are a match. I want to stick to the theme of the wedding, but I also really want to have them since my grandmother can't be here.

These would be perfect for a NORMAL Tea, but because of the theme they don't fit.

Should I use them on the table I am at only?

Should I use them to break up the theme?

Should I only use them on the tea table?

HELP!!!!

I would be concerned about using them as runners.  Accidents happen and they seem to hold a lot of importance to you. I would hate to hear that they were stained.  I would find another way to display them.  Maybe even ask your guests to give you an article of fabric so you can create your own with its own special memories?

I forgot to mention that I use that really nice plastic that you use over your linnens.

I am not a sewer myself and I would not even being to know how to make the dresden quilt.

Are you going to have a backdrop during the ceremony? I would use it as a backdrop for the ceremony or to create a photobooth, you can put a sign as well inside a picture frame so your guests know the meaning of it.

I talked with hubby and we decided not to use the Dresden, but to use the small yo-yo quilt that I finished with my grandmother as a cover for the sign in table.

We did not do a sign in before and it would nice to do that.

The photo booth back-drop is white with lt-blue barely-there snow flakes.
